Project Engineer – New Business-08009 *SEE NOTE BELOW



Will serve as project engineer in the Advanced Technologies Group as part of the new business “capture” team to grow and expand new and existing product lines.

Responsibilities include all technical aspects of advanced programs including:

•Conceptual design
•Preliminary analysis
•Schedule and testing coordination of new rocket motors
•Explosive and propellant or pyrotechnic actuated devices
•Will often plan R & D programs
•Conduct advanced technology demonstrations
•Recommend advanced technologies and pursue advanced technology applications and programs in support of long-range company objectives.
•Work closely with marketing, program management, manufacturing, production planning, quality assurance, and procurement functional organizations and key suppliers, to insure technical compliance of new proposal efforts.
•Conduct or coordinate research, design and analysis for products in new market areas.
•Apply existing technologies to create new and expand current product lines
•Prepare and present company capabilities, designs and concepts in support of marketing to new customers.
•Plan, conduct/support and report on funded and IRAD programs
•Prepare technical reports, presentations, assembly procedures and other engineering documentation.
•Support long range company goal planning
•As required, lead failure investigation and corrective action analysis efforts
•Support program management in the preparation of technical proposals, program schedules, and cost estimates.



REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
• Minimum 10 years of hands on project engineering experience with propellant, pyrotechnic or other energetic systems design
•Experience in technical writing and leading proposal efforts
•CAD design
•Demonstrated innovation and product design
•Ability to obtain DOD security clearance at the secret level and ATF approval to work with our products
•Travel as needed (approx. 25%)

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
B.S. degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Chemical Engineering
DOD experience
